Spring Foraging Walk

Maybe you just aren't confident to forage free food incase you make yourself ill?

These walks take place at various times and you can choose your slot via the website below.

Well then, my wild food walk and talk might just be for you. It comes with opportunities to meet and taste wild edible plants during their season.

At the end of your walk, we will put together a small picnic with our findings and you'll get to sample some seasonal wild drinks and or food snacks pre-made by me! (non alcoholic beverages mind.)

You'll get a digital seasonal info pack that you can download to your mobile devices, it will have a list of plants that we will see on our walk with ID and photos and you can choose to read through this as we go along, but it'll also help you continue your learning long after your walk with me has finished.

This walk will involve a mix of environments including woodland, urban areas and parkland, so please bring suitable foot wear and a jacket in case the weather turns. Also bring a bottle of water and a blanket or similar for you to sit on for the picnic-though you can choose to just take your wild foods home instead.

**** I operate a strict two chance policy regarding anyone who picks plants that they have not been instructed to pick. The same will apply to anyone who dismisses the safety rules given at the start of the walk. Anyone caught doing either of the above or attempting to eat something that they have not been instructed to eat will be given a warning, if this behaviour continues a second time you will be removed from the workshop without a refund being given-you are agreeing to this policy when you purchase your tickets.

****Please let me know if you have food allergies, are veggie or vegan. Be aware that we cannot cater to gluten free or celiac diets.

My walks focus on wild edible plants/fungi, so are suitable for vegans/veggies, though I do like to bring extra bits for the picnic element, including baked goods made from wild ingredients and regular ones.

**** This walk begins in Stenton Pond and the meeting point is the Carpark of Foxton Bar and Grill.
You are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport to get to this event, but parking is available.

*Please be on time to location as due to timings between walks, we cannot wait for late comers.
Walks last 2.5 hours.
