The campaign calling for Scottish independence has gained its first ever lead in an opinion poll.
51 per cent of people questioned in a YouGov survey for the Sunday Times say they plan to vote 'yes' in this month's referendum.
Every poll carried out until now has given the 'Better Together' camp the advantage. Deputy First Minister for the Scottish National Party, Nicola Sturgeon, says they're not taking anything for granted.
Meanwhile, former prime minister Gordon Brown insists a 'no' vote doesn't mean fewer powers for Scotland. He's advocating further devolved powers whilst staying part of the United Kingdom.
