Two men aged 29 and 27 have died after a car hit a building in Leven in the early hours of this morning.
The incident happened on Windygates Road and police were called at around 3am.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers have shut the road, which is part of the A915 route that runs from Kirkcaldy to St Andrews.
Enquiries are being carried out in the circumstances of the crash.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called to a report of a car colliding with a building on the Windygates Road, Leven, around 3am on Friday, 17 July, 2020.
"Emergency services attended and two men, aged 27 and 29, were pronounced dead at the scene.
"The road is currently closed while officers are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the crash."
Meanwhile, firefighters were alerted just after 3am.
Two fire appliances were dispatched.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 3.04am on Friday 17 July to reports of an road traffic collision involving one car and a building near Windygates Road, Leven.
"Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances.
"Crews have now left the area."
