Three people have been charged with assault following a man's death in Fife.
Arif Mahmood, 26, from Dunfermline was involved in an altercation on Queen Anne Street at around 2am yesterday.
Two men, aged 25 and 29, and a 23-year-old woman will appear at the town's Sheriff Court today charged with assault.
His family have issued the following statement through Police Scotland:
"We are finding it extremely difficult to come to terms with our loss and would ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time."
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident but are urging any further witnesses to come forward and contact Police Scotland on 101.
