Trade union bosses say moves by the Tories at Westminster to reform strike laws are 'rank hypocrisy'
PCS Scotland members are calling on Holyrood to condemn the proposals, saying they won't apply to other parts of democratic society, like political parties. Among the proposed Trade Union Bill is a requirement for 50% of workers to participate in any ballot before industrial action can go ahead, and for 40% agreement from key workers like nurses, train drivers and firefighters before they can strike.
The proposals have been shot down by many trade unions and politicians as hypocritical. Many business leaders and company owners have welcomed the plans.
