The patient who died was being treated by NHS Lanarkshire.
Meanwhile, in this afternoon's daily update, the number of cases in Fife has increased to 8.
Across Scotland, there are now 227 cases, which is up 32 from yesterday.
The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area has the most with 57.
NHS Lothian stands at 33.
