Dalgety Bay residents have given their backing to plans to clean up the town's contaminated beach.
At a public meeting last night the majority of locals supported the £10million project.
Two Ministry of Defence members turned up to present the plans, which will now need planning permission from Fife Council.
Concerns were raised about transporting rock armour and other materials by truck through the town's small cul de sacs, though it's understood this could be done by sea.
The work is scheduled to be completed by 2018, though locals are hoping with no planning consent problems it could be completed sooner.
