Steps To Tackle Homelessness In Fife

Local authority says building affordable homes will tackle homelessness in the region.

Fife Council says it's doing 'all it can' to make sure people in the Kingdom don't have to sleep rough.

It comes after figures showed the rate of homelessness in Scotland is at its lowest level for five years.

The local authority has made, what it calls, an "ambitious" target of building 2, 700 new affordable homes by 2017.

Senior manager John Mills says their work is unaffected by ongoing budget restrictions.
