Police chiefs say domestic violence and sexual crimes are on the increase.
Policing in Fife is smarter, stronger and safer as part of a single police force.
That's from the man in charge of Fife Division of Police Scotland, Chief Superintendent Garry McEwan.
He was speaking as new figures showed a mixed picture of crime across the Kingdom.
Violent crime is down and detection of it is up in the first year of the national police force.
But domestic violence and sexual crimes are rising - although that's being put down to more people reporting these offences.
Mr McEwan tells us how being part of Police Scotland has benefitted Fifers.
