A contractor has been appointed to repair a road in Dura Den which has been closed for the past two years.
Heavy rainfall in October 2012 led to extensive flooding in the village.
Retaining walls supporting the C45 collapsed and properties were damaged.
£800, 000 is to be spent repairing the stretch and work will begin in early December with completion expected by late spring/early summer.
Cllr Pat Callaghan, Executive Spokesperson for Environment and Transportation said:
"I am delighted we have appointed a contractor and work will soon get started. This has been a complex and challenging project and has been a long time in the planning.
"I commend Dura Den residents for their patience and ask for their co-operation as the works get underway. I hope residents will be happy with the end result."
