Kyle Horne will be back in a Fife Flyers jersey for the forthcoming season.
The homegrown player spent 8 years in his first stint in Kirkcaldy, before moving Slough Jets in 05 then Edinburgh Capitals the next year.
He returned to Fife whent hey joined the Elite League, and has featured in the British team at under 18s and 20s, as well a the senior side.
Horne managed three goals and 11 assists in 59 games last year, spending 60 minutes in the penalty box.
The 6ft 1" local said:
“I am delighted to be back for the forthcoming season. I really enjoyed last season and felt like I had a steady season.”
“The run we had from Christmas right up until the playoffs was amazing and I am looking forward to getting back on the ice and picking up where we left off.”
“The way the fans got behind us all of last season was great, and I’m really excited to play in front of the home crowd again this season. Playing in front of those sell-out crowds was awesome and I know all of the guys are looking forward to seeing more sell outs this season and getting that atmosphere going from the opening game.”
Associate Coach Danny Stewart added: “It’s great to have Kyle back for another season. I felt this past season was his most consistent season yet since Fife joined the EIHL.”
“He is steady back there and when he is on his game he doesn't make many mistakes. His experience and quality makes us better at the back end and we will be looking to Kyle to be a big part of our defensive core once again.”
Head Coach Todd Dutiaume added: “Kyle is a player that can be relied upon to show up every night. We know exactly what we get from Kyle and his experience and consistency are big assets for us. Kyle is a long time servant of the club and long may it continue.”
