The Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrat parties are calling for clarity from Nicola Sturgeon over the SNP's plans for a second independence referendum.
Willie Rennie, the leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, is urging voters to back his plan to anchor Britain in the centre ground rather than divisive SNP policies. Scottish Labour Leader Jim Murphy's hit out, saying his party plan to set Scotland on a road to a fairer Scotland, not a road to another referendum. Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson is calling on voters to rally round the one party who the SNP refuse to deal with.
Ed Miliband has persistantly ruled out any coalition with the SNP, but Nicola Sturgeon says he need's SNP MPs to move into Number Ten. She said:
"As I have made clear, the SNP will always support independence – but this election is emphatically not about independence. It is about making Scotland stronger and giving us real influence at Westminster."
