The family of a Kirkcaldy man who died in police custody say they're seeking the truth.
Sheku Bayoh, who was 31, was detained following an incident in the Hayfield Road area on Sunday 3rd May 2015.
His family claim they've been given five different stories about how he died, while a post mortem examination is still incomplete.
At a press conference in Edinburgh, they also raised concerns over why none of the officers involved in the case have been suspended.
Sheku's sister Kadijartu Johnston paid tribute to her brother describing him as 'hardworking' and someone who 'lived for his two young boys'.
In a statement the PIRC said: “The Police Investigations & Review Commissioner continues its independent investigation into the death of Sheku Ahmed Tejan Bayoh in Kirkcaldy on the morning of 3 May 2015.
"The PIRC is making good progress in its investigation and the public response to appeals for information has been very positive. The PIRC has appointed dedicated family liaison officers who keep in close contact with the family of Sheku Bayoh and their lawyer Mr Aamer Anwar.
"The PIRC will submit the findings of its investigation to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.”
