Snow is expected to fall in Scotland over the next two days.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice in Fife.
The warning began at midnight on Wednesday and is in place until Sunday lunchtime.
According to the national meteorological service, snow showers and icy surfaces could bring some travel disruption.
They added: "Showers will fall as snow to low levels inland on Wednesday, continuing through Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
"Accumulations of 2-5cm are possible at lower weather, some drifting and blizzard conditions are likely in the strong northerly winds.
"In addition, ice is likely to form on untreated surfaces, mainly where some of the showers fall as ran or sleet on some coasts."
Gritters have already been out on the roads in order to keep the roads and conditions safe.
