Scottish Doctors are fighting to implement the controversial `minimum unit pricing` on alcohol.
Health professionals say they're doing everything they can to oppose global alcohol producers over the issue.
On the 5th of September in Brussels, Scottish and European doctors will make the case for health alongside industry supporters of the policy.
Legislation to introduce a Minimum Unit Price of 50p was passed without opposition by the Scottish Parliament in May of 2012.
However, the pricing change has yet to come into force because a consortium of global alcohol producers have taken the case to the European Court.
Dr Peter Rice, Chair of Scottish Health Action on Alcohol Problems, spoke to Kingdom FM News.
