There's been sadness expressed after a major fire at the derelict Lundin Links Hotel.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been at the scene during today after getting the first call just after 8.30pm last night.
A video on The Courier's website shows the Scottish and Fire Rescue service still at the scene this afternoon after firefighters tried to put the flames out during the night.
Police have been asking drivers to avoid the local area during the day.
But there have been no injuries reported.
According to the newspaper last month, the hotel's owners launched a bid to wind up the company this summer.
Despite plans by developer Kapital Residential to convert the hotel into 35 flats, it has fallen into serious disrepair.
There was no start to work on the Category C-Listed building after the hotel's closure in 2014.
Meanwhile, a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said this morning: "We were alerted at 8.36pm on Thursday, 18 August to reports of a fire at a derelict building on Leven Road, Lundin Links, Fife.
"At its height, Operations Control mobilised seven appliances, two height vehicles and specialist resources to extinguish the fire.
"Two appliances and a height vehicle, as well as a number of other resources, remain at the scene this morning.
