Police have named a pensioner who died in a road accident near Limekilns on Thursday morning.
Alexander Sinclair from Grangemouth was involved in the two-vehicle collision on Thursday morning.
The 66-year old motorcyclist died at the scene, while his female passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A white Citroen van and a red motorcycle were involved in the incident on the A985 west of the Limekilns junction at around 11.40am. The road was closed at McKane Park, Dunfermline, until 4pm that day while collision investigations took place.
Inspector Brenda Sinclair of Road Policing said: “My condolences go to Alexander’s family, who have respectfully requested that they be left to grieve in private at this very difficult time.
