Fife Council says public toilets in the Kingdom will start reopening tomorrow (Friday July 10).
The facilities were temporarily closed in line with Scottish Government Covid-19 guidance.
But there have been calls for them to reopen, amid concerns about the mess being left behind by visitors to the region.
A statement from the council said: "Before reopening them, we’ve cleansed the water systems to minimise the risk of legionella and have been working up improved cleaning plans to ensure the health and safety of users.
"All 31 street-access public toilets will be open for the community and visitors by July 15 at the latest."
