All pupils in Primary 1 to Primary 3 are entitled to free school meals from tomorrow.
135,000 children are in line to benefit from the new policy, with families of every eligible child expected to save at least £330 per year.
The move is supported by campaigning organisations across civic Scotland including Child Poverty Action Group Scotland and Children in Scotland.
Learning Minister Dr Alasdair Allan says it's a big investment in Scotland's future.
