Police have confirmed the identity of a man whose body was found in the Firth of Forth, off the coast of Fife.
Officers had previously appealed for information to help them identify the man - who was found off Preston Island, near Culross, on August 5.
In a statement released today, the force said: "Police Scotland can now confirm that the body of the man found in the Firth of Forth off Preston Island on August 5, has been identified as that of 41-year-old Rodwhan Ali Al Montsir from Stirling.
"The death is being treated us unexplained pending a post mortem examination and the procurator fiscal has been informed."
