Police have cordoned off a road in Glenrothes after the discovery of human remains.
Officers were called to the scene at Whitehill Industrial Estate this evening.
No further details have been revealed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.20pm. police were called after unidentified human remains were found at an industrial estate on Whitehill Road in Glenrothes.
"Inquires are at an early stage."
