Police Appeal After Collision Near Dairsie

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman died following a car crash on the A914 between Dairsie Roundabout and Balmullo on Tuesday.

A female passenger within the northbound vehicle died from her injuries yesterday morning. 

The female passenger has been named as Audrey Thom who was 58-years-old.

The collision involved a grey Mazda 3 and a white Renault Traffic van.

Audrey was a passenger in the car which collided with the van on the winding country road.

The driver of the van sustained minor injuries.

Her family have issued the following statement:

"Audrey was a much loved wife, mother to three daughters and very recent granny. She will be sadly missed.

"We ask that our privacy is respected while we come to terms with this tragedy."

Road Policing Inspector Brenda Sinclair said: "We are still making inquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision.

"We are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and saw these vehicles or who witnessed the collision, to contact us on 101."
