Police are appealing for information after a 6 year old boy was injured in a traffic accident yesterday in Aberdour.
A pedestrian and a blue Mercedes Sprinter van were involved in a collision on the High Street at around 6pm.
The 46 year old driver was uninjured, the boy is in a serious condition in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
Sgt Jim Henry, Road Policing Unit, said: "A young boy has sustained serious injuries and we’re working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this collision.
"We’ve already spoken to a number of witnesses but are urging anyone who has not yet come forward to get in touch."
The road was closed from A921 to the B9157 to allow emergency services access. It was reopened at around 10pm and the public are thanked for their patience during this time.
