School View and Humbug Park in Crossgates will remain the same for the foreseeable future.
It's as proposals from community group Crossgates Village Park - including to sublet the park to a football club, to install an all-weather pitch or to create a new outdoor exercise area - were scrapped.
Fife Council's consultation period saw the majority of Crossgates residents oppose the proposed changes.
The council says they were worried about a losing green spaces and giving football too much focus within the park.
