The mum of two teenage girls at Woodmill High in Dunfermline says it feels like they have missed a year of education - after a turbulent 12 months.
The school itself was badly damaged in a fire almost a year ago, with pupils moving to other sites across the Kingdom while repairs were carried out.
Then in March, schools were shut down completely when the pandemic took hold.
Most youngsters have now returned to the Woodmill site - you can hear from headteacher Sandy McIntosh in our video above.
Debbie Easson has two daughters, Hannah and Aimee, who have just started S5 there.
She says it has been a testing time, with the girls spending some time at Inverkeithing in the months following last August's blaze at the school:
