Police have issued a fresh appeal for information following the disappearance of a Dunfermline man.
Stuart McGovern was last seen at around 6pm on Thursday evening when he left his home in Izatt Avenue. Officers say it's understood he walked towards Alice Cox Walk and Queensferry Road and insist finding him is now a matter of urgency.
The 34-year-old is described as a white man with a stocky build. He is around 5ft 10”- 6ft in height is balding. He has several distinctive tattoos on his arms, including a tribal tattoo and the name 'Robbie' on his left arm and a stars tattoo and the name 'Brandon' on his right arm.
He was last seen wearing a blue long sleeved top with a low pocket on the left breast and black cuffs, dark blue denim jeans and blue Air Max trainers.
As part of the enquiry into Stuart’s disappearance, police have been conducting major search activity in the Dunfermline area. They have also been assisted by police dogs and air support.
Inspector James Davenport said: “Stuart has now been missing for three days and we are extremely concerned for his welfare.
“This type of behaviour is considered to be completely out of character of Stuart, who has not been missing before. We would urge him to make contact with police or with his family as soon as possible.
“Anyone with information regarding Stuart’s whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately.”
