A £1 million routine maintenance programme lasting nine weeks will see a 1 kilometre stretch of the concrete carriageway and two bridges improved on the M90.
From Thursday 8 October maintenance works on the M90 northbound carriageway between Junction 5, Gairneybridge, and Junction 6, Kinross, works to refurbish the north and south bridges at M90 Junction 6, Kinross, are planned for nine weeks and will begin on Monday 12 October.
The M90 near Kinross is used by almost 30,000 vehicles a day and the improvements are designed to enhance the safety of the road at this location.

“We’ve planned these works following consultation with local authorities, businesses and travel operators, and every effort will be made to reduce disruption to road users.
“We encourage motorists to plan their journey in advance and check the Traffic Scotland website before setting out.”
