The Mum of Fife RAF airman Corrie McKeague says that a military memorial is to take place for him next month.

Nicola Urquhart has written in a Facebook post it will be at the church at RAF Honington in Suffolk on Saturday 6 August at 11.00am.

Earlier this year, an inquest concluded that Corrie, from Dunfermline who vanished on a night out in 2016 in Bury St Edmunds, died after getting into a bin which was then tipped into a waste lorry.

Meanwhile, anyone attending the memorial able to wear a uniform has been requested to do so, with others being asked to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.

People attending have been asked not to bring flowers, with a collection for the RAF Benevolent Fund taking place instead.
