Man Killed In Fife Crash

A man's been killed in a car crash near Newburgh.

A man's died after a two car crash in Fife this morning.

The collision happened on Abernethy Road, near Newburgh, just before 7am.

The man was driving a VW Golf.

Two men in a Toyota Hilux have been injured.

The road is still closed and police are asking for witnesses to come forward.

They said: "Police in Fife responded to Abernethy Road at around 6.55am on Thursday 19th February following a two-vehicle collision involving a Volkswagen Golf and Toyota Hilux.

"The male driver of the Volkswagen sustained serious injury and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

"Two men who were within the Toyota have been taken to Perth Royal Infirmary for treatment to various injuries. 

"The road is currently closed and enquiries into the full circumstances surrounding this collision are ongoing. 

"Anyone with information that can assist officers with their investigation is asked to contact police immediately."
