Man dies after two vehicle crash in St Andrews

A 66 year old man has died following a crash in St Andrews this morning.

Police were called to the incident on Links Crescent at 10 past 10, which involved two vehicles.

An air ambulance also landed on the Old Course when it responded to the incident

The 51-year-old female driver of the other vehicle sustained a leg injury.

The road was closed for over 3 hours but has since reopened.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: “A 66-year-old man has died following a road crash on Monday, July 10.

"Police were called around 10.10am to a report of a road traffic collision involving two cars on Links Crescent, St Andrew's.

"Emergency services attended, however, the 66-year-old man died.

"The 51-year-old female driver of the other vehicle received a leg injury.

"The road has been reopened.”
