An appeal will be lodged today against building a new high school in north east Fife.
Plans for a new Madras College were given the go ahead by a judge at the Court of Session last month following opposition.
STEPAL, who are against the new school and lodging the appeal, say they have two objectives.
They want to avoid building on the green belt to protect the landscape of St Andrews and to ensure that all pupils enjoy an excellent educational experience.
Parents have acted angrily to the action and say it could delay the project by a further year.
