A financial dispute threatening the short-term future of Longannet Power Station could be resolved by mid-April.
That's according to local MP Thomas Docherty, after marathon talks with Scottish Power and the National Grid.
It was announced yesterday that talks between the firms had broken down - over the amount the Fife facility pays to join into the UK's energy supply.
It costs the Kincardine-based facility £40million to connect to the National Grid every year, while a similar plant in South England could cost ten times fewer than that.
Mr Docherty says an agreement could be reached relatively soon:
