A resolution to end the Championship, League One and League Two early was approved earlier this week, with the SPFL expected to consult on league reconstruction for the 2020/21 season in the near future.
Hearts owner Ann Budge and Hamilton Academical chair Les Gray are jointly leading a task force on league restructuring.
Scottish football was suspended last month due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Before this season came to a halt, John McGlynn's team sat at the top of League One, one point ahead of 2nd place Falkirk.
Meanwhile, an online crowdfunding campaign to help the Stark's Park club financially has reached £50,000.
