Former Prime Minister and Kirkcaldy MSP Gordon Brown will meet Tesco's Chief Executive today to discuss how to save the town's store.
MP and former Prime Minister Gordon Brown will raise the plight of Kirkcaldy's Tesco store with supermarket bosses today.
Tesco Chief Executive Dave Lewis will meet Mr Brown to discuss the proposed closure.
The store is due to close its doors in 7 weeks with the loss of 189 jobs.
Mr Brown will argue for Tesco bosses to reconsider their decision due to the fact the closure will also see the loss of the main post office.,
It is estimated that 4,000 elderly people use it every week.
Kirkcaldy Councillor Kenny Selbie feels Tesco bosses could do more to look at a positive future for the store.
