A new campaign is aiming to help boost Fife's tourism sector as it recovers from the pandemic.
#fifegolffest21 is a six-month campaign that will showcase the best golfing and non-golfing experiences on offer across the Kingdom.
Fife Golf is working with partners including Fife Council to ensure all tourism-related firms have the chance to be involved.
It plan to use social media channels, PR, vloggers and bloggers to promote businesses, experiences and events to visitors in local, national and international markets.
Stephen Owen, chair of Fife Golf, said: "It’s been an incredibly tough year and the #fifegolffest21 campaign aims to help support businesses and organisations across the region as they re-open following well documented challenges of the last 12 months.
"Fife Golf has always had a very close working relationship with Fife Council and the festival is yet another excellent example of how effectively both organisations work together for the benefit of all tourism related businesses across the region."
The golf festival will be supported by a new area on the Fife Golf website that offers a section for event promotion across a number of different sectors, including golf, food and drink, cultural and experiences.
There is also a focus on supporting businesses to engage with tour operators to develop packages for promotion via the Fife Golf website and by the tour operators independently.
Stephen added: "The #golffestival21 allows businesses to reach the valuable Fife Golf audience, including those located throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK, through general business promotion and via events and offers. I’d very much encourage all to visit our website to find out how they can get involved."
Sandra Montador-Stewart, service manager in economy, tourism and town centres with Fife Council, said: "We are delighted to be working with Fife Golf to promote Fife again.
"As the tourism industry starts to open up once again and welcome people back, this is an ideal opportunity to showcase the fantastic golfing offer we have as well as the other aspects of our tourism offering which make the Kingdom such a popular destination."
