There's been a rise in the number of new business start-ups in Fife.
According to figures, 1210 hundred businesses opened their doors in 2013.
20%, or 240, opted for the north east of the region.
Liberal Democrat Group Leader Cllr Tim Brett has warmly welcomed the news:
"Out of the 1210 new businesses set up in Fife in 2013, something in the region of 20%, roughly 240, of these are in North East Fife. The establishment of so many ventures is extremely good news for everybody in the area, as new businesses often fill a gap in the market and thus offer the public more services. The new business start-ups also create employment and help to stimulate the local economy; a success story all round."
