Fostering People is celebrating its 2nd year operating in Scotland this year.
The new cohort of foster carers will be supported by an ongoing training programme, as well as access to Fostering People’s most experienced foster carers to provide mentoring advice as they develop their career in caring.
The agency is hosting a fostering information evening at Rothes Hall, Glenrothes on Wednesday 4th March between 5pm and 7pm so that people can find out more and speak to local foster carers about their experiences.
Commenting on the recruitment drive, Melissa Miller from Fostering People, said:
“There is currently a shortage of foster carers in Fife and across Scotland and we would urge local people to find out more about this hugely rewarding career.
“Foster carers come from many different walks of life, but all share the same goal – to provide children and young people with a safe and stable home. This is something that most of us take for granted, but the commitment of our carers to providing a family home is life changing for the children in their care.'
