Fife Council has revealed that the number of parking fines issued to drivers for parking without a blue disability badge went up last year.
In 2018/19 the number of tickets handed out to drivers who parked in a disabled space without a blue badge rose to 1,525.
The number rose by over 200 on the previous year, which saw 1,312 fines issued.
Councillor Tim Brett said the rise is worrying but more could be done to prevent drivers from parking illegally.
