Three areas identified by Fife Council which it's hoped could help save Kirkcaldy's Tesco store.
It's on course to shut on April 4th after the company said it was unprofitable - Councillors estimate the superstore makes approximately £22 million per year.
Tesco's Chief Executive Dave Lewis last week warned that 43 unprofitable UK stores must go to protect the future of the business.
A public meeting at the Town House last night saw hundreds of people gather to put their views forward.
The council chamber reached its capacity and people spilled out into the public areas of the building.
Those leading the meeting took it in turns to make a second address to those outside.

Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath MP Gordon Brown told the audience that Tesco had done well out of Kirkcaldy for 40 years and now it was time for Tesco to be good to Kirkcaldy.
He urged people to put the case to Tesco through 'customer and people power' by signing the petition and writing individual letters to Mr Lewis.
