A Fife gamekeeper is making what he believes is the first ever attempt to walk the length of the River Tay from source to tide.
Colin Hisbent is making the trek for the British Heart Foundation, in honour of two friends who died. The walk takes him from a small lochan on the Allt Coire Laoigh, south of Ben Lui near Tyndrum, to Scone Palace, near where the river becomes tidal.
At 120 miles, the Tay is the longest river in Scotland. Its precise source was pinpointed in 2011 by a group of river experts.
He told Kingdom FM News he has researched the walk, and thinks he could be the first to complete it.:
Colin begins his walk on July 25 and expects to complete it in around 2 weeks. He is collecting donations via his JustGiving page.
