A woman from Crossford is letting the BBC inside her home as she features on its Scotland's Home of the Year program tonight.
Heather Craig's pink house is up against properties in North Berwick and Linlithgow for a place in the final.
She lives there with husband Brian and their two daughters, Rosie and Olive.
Having grown up in the village, Heather always loved the house and it’s a dream come true to live there with her family. She has transformed the interior with paint and clever upcycling techniques.
Heather describes the programme as wholesome and feel good and says she's always wanted to be a part of it.
She said: "I'm a fan of the show.
"As my home's on Instagram they got in touch a couple years ago but I was no where near ready.
"I applied last year to get in touch with them so I could join.
"I just think our homes are important."
When asked to describe her house she told us: "A friend summed up my style as cheerful, eclectic and retro with a colourful twist.
"You can expect a lot of colour and second hand furniture mixed with modern."
Throughout the four-bedroomed property there's a theme of childhood and nostalgia.
Pink – Heather’s favourite colour – is featured in every room and there’s even a disco ball in the kitchen.
But she has no idea what the judges thought of her home and will find out the feedback at the same time as us,
She says they were "chucked out" of the house after doing their interviews in the morning so they couldn't influence the judges thoughts.
Heather says we shouldn't be afraid of adding colour to our homes.
Her advice is: "Start small. I always tell people to paint some picture frames or window ledge in their favourite colour.
"Dip your toe into it and live with it and see how you feel.
"I personally think if you're surrounded by your favourite colours you'll feel great."
The show airs on BBC One Scotland at 8.30pm. The winner will bag a place in next week's final.
