Fife train services affected by 'heavy' flooding

Rail services across Fife and Tayside have been disrupted due to flooding over the weekend.

Excess water on the tracks between Kinghorn and Burntisland has caused a line closure.

Several journeys - including those on services to Dundee, Angus and Perth - have been delayed due to the deluge.

Scotrail tweeted: "Due to heavy rain flooding the railway between Burntisland and Kinghorn the line towards Kirkcaldy is closed. Disruption is expected until 5pm 05/10.

"Train services between Edinburgh and Perth will be revised."
