Fife road closed after fatal crash

A road between Kelty and Saline is closed.

It's after a fatal crash where a car left the road and caught fire.

The white Mercedes AMG C43 crashed into trees on the B914 Kelty to Saline road near Blairadam Forest at about 8.50pm yesterday (Sunday).

It was travelling towards Kelty at the time.

The occupants of the car died at the scene.

The road's closed for investigation work, from just after the M90 flyover.

Inspector James Henry of Fife road policing said: “An investigation is underway and we are appealing for information that could assist with our enquiries.

“If you were in the area at the time then please get in touch, particularly if you have dash-cam footage that could help.”

Anyone who can assist is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3497 of Sunday, 11 August, 2024.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call to attend a police incident on the B914 near Kelty at 8.49pm on Sunday.

“Two pumps were sent to the scene.

“We received the stop message at 9.37pm.”
