A Fife man is walking from the Kingdom to Ireland in memory of his grandad and to raise vital funds for a Scottish charity.
Michael Cunningham starts the trek next weekend and is walking from Cardenden, where his grandad lived, to County Donegal, where he was born.
He hopes to raise thousands of pounds for Alzheimers Scotland.
Michael says he wants to make his grandad proud but admits he is nervous for the challenge ahead.
It was in 1947, when Michael's grandad came to Scotland from Raphoe, Donegal to work and met his gran before settling in the Kingdom.
He passed away in February this year, after suffering with Alzheimer's and dementia for seven years.
Michael's smashed his £1,000 donation already, with donations already at £1,361 and is thankful for all those who have shown support so far.
If you wish to donate to the cause you can do so by visiting his Just Giving page here.
