A Fife man's hoping to raise awareness about mental health by climbing Poland's highest mountain.
John Elvin from Kirkcaldy takes on his more than 2,500 metre climb of Mount Rysy on the 24th of July.
It sits twice the height of Ben Nevis and will take him seven hours to climb it each way, with chains at the top to pull himself to the summit.
He said: "When I took my first Munro on I didn't know what I left myself in for it was much harder than I expected.
"The nerves are there a little bit, I think I'll be more nervous two weeks before it.
"I've been preparing with mountain climbs here and there across Scotland.
"You don't jump into something like this you take your time to build it up."
He's raising money for SAMH in the process.

But John is no stranger to challenging walks and he has his own group.
He says walking helped his mental health when he was struggling.
John already has his sights on the next challenge.
Two weeks after he comes back he's heading up six mountains across Scotland in one day.
And he's wanting to walk the full Fife Coastal Path, all 116 miles.
