A man from Fife is taking on the highest mountain in Northern Africa as he fundraises for a local charity during his challenge.
Jim Parker's travelled to Marrakesh to climb Jebel Toubkal, located in the Atlas Mountains, to raise awareness and funds for The Craws Nest Trust on March 2nd.
Along the way, Jim will have to endure 4,167 metres and navigate rocks snow and ice due to the unusually cold weather Morocco's facing at this time of the year.
He tells us why he's decided to take on such a feat:
The Trust was founded in 1989 by Eleanor Bowman and has since donated 130 powered wheelchairs as well as 34 manual wheelchairs along with many tens of thousands of pounds of donations.
Their aim is to help improve the quality of life for as much people as they can.
Jim, who owns Fife Properties, says while he's done plenty of hills before, this one is taking on a whole new adventure:
He'll be posting his progress along the way as he travels along the mountain on is social media page which you can visit here.
So far, Jim's raised almost £200 of his £1000 target but insists for him it isn't all about the money donations:
If you wish to donate, you can do so by visiting his Just Giving page.
