A Green Day fan from Anstruther was given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform with the band on their Saviours tour.
Jake Rodgers, 23, was among thousands attending their gig in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park on Tuesday.
The former Waid Academy pupil has been a huge fan of the group since he was six, and brought a handmade sign declaring he could play guitar.
He was spotted by the band's singer-songwriter Billy Joe Armstrong, who invited Jake on stage to play one of the band’s latest tracks, Dilemma.
In a post on social media, Jake's own group Conflict Hope says Green Day was "the band that first made him pick up a guitar and taught him everything he knows."
