A Leven woman is playing a leading role in helping to fight Ebola which has already claimed more than 4, 800 lives.
Michelle Wilson is the Assistant Country Director at Concern Worldwide. She's just returned to Britain following a spell in Sierra Leone.
For the past 8 years, Michelle has been involved in humanitarian and development work overseas in Northern Uganda and Eastern Congo. Since 2012, she has been working for Concern Worldwide as Assistant Country Director of Programmes in Sierra Leone. Her role is oversee the development programmes, in Education, Health and Food, Income and Markets, in 2 key districts of Freetown and Tonkolili and more latterly to support the Ebola response which began back in May 2014.
The World Health Organisation says Ebola has now claimed more than 4, 800 lives. Despite the spread of the virus slowing, doctors say it's still not under control. Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia are some of the worst affected countries.
