Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre upgrade to be approved

Councillors will discuss the £8 million refurbishment later.

Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre is set to close in April as part of an £8 million refurbishment, with the library due to move into the new centre when it reopens in Autumn 2025.

Councillors are discussing the plans later, with the project looking at improving or upgrading the current services.

Swimming lessons would move to Burntisland, Bowhill and Lochgelly pools.

Meanwhile, work to the wetside facilities at Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre in Glenrothes has been delayed.

It means they'll not reopen until the 30th of September - a couple of weeks later than planned.
