Police in Fife are appealing for information to help trace an 80-year-old man who has gone missing from his home in Kinghorn.
William Binnie, aged 80, was last seen by his wife last night. When she awoke this morning at 6.30am he was not in their home in Myre Crescent.
Police are now growing increasingly concerned for William's welfare and are eager to trace his whereabouts.
William is described as a white man with a medium build. He is around 5ft 6" in height and has grey hair. He is believed to be wearing a black cagoule, grey/black trousers and a gold watch.
William has recently been treated in hospital and may appear confused.
Police are particularly appealing to members of the public in Kinghorn to be extra vigilant regarding William's whereabouts when out in the local area today.
Officers are also asking local resident to check sheds and outhouses in order to assist them in finding William.
Inspector Stephen Kay said:
"We are growing increasingly concerned for William's welfare and we are appealing to the public for any information regarding his whereabouts.
"William has recently been ill and it is essential that we trace him as soon as possible. We are also appealing to the public to check their sheds and outhouses in order to help us find William.
"If you have any information please contact police immediately on 101."
